The book is dedicated to the life and works of ten Solovetsky archimandrites who headed the ancient northern monastery from 1761 to 1852. Based on a wide range of sources, including unpublished ones, an attempt is made not only to reconstruct the biographies of the abbots, but also to determine their contribution to the creation of the internal structure and maintenance of the economic well-being of the Solovetsky Monastery. The priority areas of activity of each abbot in managing the monastery are identified. Thanks to a comprehensive examination of the works of the archimandrites, a complete picture of the spiritual and material state of the Solovetsky Monastery in the mid-18th - mid-19th centuries is created.
