The reconstruction of the historical past from the appearance of man to the Middle Ages is given, the formation and development of the economy from the primitive gathering to the establishment of productive forms is traced, numerous archeological cultures and their carriers are characterized. The social development from the primary tribes to the medieval nationalities is analyzed in detail, the ethnic characteristics of the bearers of the main archeological cultures of Europe are given.
