The military-historical publication addresses the fate of people who suffered incredible suffering and persecution while in captivity. In the course of hard work in archives, museums, libraries, the author was able to find documents and facts that were not previously published. The book contains materials representing the foundation of future research for historians, demographers, sociologists, psychologists. At the same time, this is a memorial publication, which can rightfully be called the “Book of memory”. The publication is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Minsk from Nazi occupation. The book is illustrated with rare photographs of a military chronicle.
