The monograph is devoted to the historical and archaeological study of the Mogilev and Gomel Dnieper region in the 1st-5th centuries. The entire material is introduced into scientific circulation, a historical and chronological interpretation of such standard monuments as the settlements and burial grounds of Abidnya and Taimanovo is given. Based on the materials from these monuments, a new archaeological culture was identified - the Abidnya culture (II-V centuries). Against their background, the complexity and versatility of the ethnic processes occurring in this territory in the first half of the 1st millennium AD are demonstrated.
