This large-scale work is primarily informative and educational in nature. It is built on unique archival material and draws on information from the best research to date. Dedicated to Bulgarian Freemasonry from its inception in the Bulgarian lands to the present day, this book, both in terms of content and structure, is multi-layered. On the one hand, it aims to present the history of Bulgarian Freemasonry and its role as a factor in our national existence. On the other hand, it is aimed at revealing the organizational forms, structure, advocated doctrine, symbolism, vocabulary, rituals and some other inherent acts and features of Masonic lodges. Considerable attention is also paid to the connections of Bulgarian Freemasonry internationally and the foreign influence experienced by it.
