The book by a noted scholar N.N.Voronin (1904-1976) is dedicated to the biography of prince Andrey Yur’evich Bogoliubsky, a greatest figure in Rus’ in the XIIth century. The author deals with the history of Vladimir land and Rus’ in the XI-XIIIth centuries, revealing sources of Bogoliubsky’s policy, as well as the fate of his political heritage in times of his successors. The book describes the culture of Vladimir Rus’ during the XII-XIIIth centuries.
