The author canvasses questions of the early formation of the Turcophone peoples, offering analysis of the two following versions: the first possible origin of the Turkic-speaking peoples in the sequence Kets - Huns - Turks (Bronze Age and later)and the second one - separation of the Altai linguistic community in the Far East from the milieu of the southern (Austric) migrants with their further differentiation into Turkic, Mongolian, Manchu-Tungus, Korean and Japanese populations (Mesolithic - Neolithic).
