The monograph is devoted to the problems of culture of Sogdiana, which is also known, according to the origins, under the name of Nakhshab, as well as to the results of excavations of the first capital of oasis - the place of ancient settlement Erkurgan. Social structure and typology of settlements are considered. Peculiarities of monumental and housing architecture of Erkurgan, its stratigraphy and periodization, as well as numerous kinds of ceramic foodware are analyzed.
