The monograph examines the problems of analyzing and forecasting the economic development of a particular region based on intersectoral modeling. The first section is devoted to the analysis of state and development of the economy in Republic of Buryatia. The economic potential of the republic, structural shifts in its economy and modern tendencies of development are investigated. A comparative analysis of the economic development of the Republic of Buryatia with other Siberian regions has been carried out. An assessment of the state and prospects for the development of the republic's energy industry is given. The issues of formation and use of labor resources, incomes and living standards of the population of Buryatia, foreign trade relations of the region are investigated. The second section presents the results of research on the construction and use of a dynamic inter-branch economic model of the Republic of Buryatia using data from the “Cost-Output” tables. The method of forming the information base of the model is described in detail. The constructed model is modified in the direction of a fuzzy-set description of its input and output parameters. The dynamic inter-branch economic model developed in deterministic and fuzzy-multiple formulation was used to construct medium-term forecasts for the development of the economy of the Republic of Buryatia.
