Pulat trays; It started to be built in the West at the end of the 18th century, was exhibited for the first time in The Great Exhibition in 1851, and began to be seen in the Ottoman market as a part of the daily life of the Ottoman Empire in the 19th century. Later, within the borders of the Ottoman Empire, it began to be produced in local workshops, mainly in the Galata and Golden Horn region of Istanbul, by Jewish merchants, and disappeared with the mass production brought by industrialization in the early 20th century.
