Research materials are published related to the trading and diplomatic activities of Maksut-mulla Yunusov, the founder of the Bashkir first settlers of the village of Kirdas of the Tangaur volost of the Verkhneuralsk district. The work includes an extensive list of the documents from the Archive of the foreign policy of the Russian Empire identified by the author in 2010 - 2011.
The archival research presented in the work allows us to restore the full picture of the participation of the merchant and the diplomatic courier of the Russian envoy to the Bukhara Khanate F. Beneveni in 1718 - 1725. - “Bashkir from the Ufa district of Maksut-Mulla Yunusov, nicknamed Amremzey” - in the affairs of Russian diplomacy in the Central Asian region in the 20s of the XVIII century. Particular attention is paid to the personality of Yunus-Akhun and his scientific heritage - Persian manuscripts, including a textbook on mathematics, which is of great value both in itself and as a practical guide to Muslim inheritance law.
