The collected material elucidates the most crucial topics of the conference, namely historical, cultural, philological and cultural problems of the peoples of the Ural-Altai Region, and those its areas that are densly populated by the present-day Turkic ethnoses - the Bashkirs, Siberian Tatars, Altay, Tuvinians, Khakass, separate ethnographical groups of the Kazan' Tatars and Chuvash - Finno-Ugric peoples - Komi, some of ethnographical groups of the Mordva, Udmurts and Mari.
