One of the stories of the Russian-Ukrainian war. It started writing back in 2015, when Ievhen Stepanenko was fighting in the East of Ukraine as part of a medic unit, and his daughter Solya was waiting for her dad from the front in peaceful Kyiv. This is an honest and touching conversation about war and life for everyone: both children and adults.
The book is structured like an alphabet, where each letter is one of the dimensions of war and peace around war. It intertwines the life of a child in a peaceful city and the life of a father at war. Solya calls her dad at the front, writes text messages and letters, talks about her affairs, school, friends, competitions, dances, pets, and also asks childish and non-childish questions about the war.
