A collection of poems. In fact, a poet in Latvia has never been just a poet. Too often he had to take upon himself the ungrateful role of a prophet, a propagator, a preacher. A poet had to be also a philosopher, a sociologist, a historian, and an enlightener. Most poems were created in the 1990s. That was the time right after Latvia regained its independence, when it became clear that a poet-prophet is in great demand in the totalitarian society.
