The book reveals the issues of the history of the city of Aleksandrovsk-Sakhalinsky in the first quarter of the 20th century: from the events of the February Revolution of 1917 to the end of the second Japanese occupation of Northern Sakhalin in 1925. This is one of the first systematic studies of the history of Aleksandrovsk-Sakhalinsky. The monographic study "Aleksandrovsk on Sakhalin" is a continuation of the work "Post Aleksandrovsky and its suburbs. 1852-1916" published in 2021 by Viktor Shcheglov, devoted to the early history of the city.
