The collection includes excerpts from medieval sources, works of Russian and foreign scientists, materials of academic and encyclopedic publications devoted to the problem of historical and ethno-cultural continuity of the Alans-Ossetians. The main part of the book consists of three sections: "from antiquity to the end of the XIX century"; "Alano-Ossetian succession in the works of researchers of the XX century" and "the Problem of Alano-Ossetian succession in modern historiography", each of which is structured according to the chronological principle based on the date of publication of the works.
