The small homeland of Fr. Konstantina Baiko - Belovezhskaya - at the turn of the XIX and XX centuries experienced an unprecedented development. It all started with the construction in 1889-1894 of a brick palace at the request of Tsar Alexander III. The project of the magnificent building located on a hill at the valley of Narovka was made by the known architect count Nikolay de Reshefort. Buildings for the service and officials were erected near the palace. On the other side of the village Stachok, a complex was being built for the Pushcha administration. At the same time, a new park with ponds on the Narewka River was planned around the palace. The buildings were built of beautiful red brick, which was required in Belovezhskaya. The products of the local brickyard were in short supply. Bricks were transported from other enterprises in Belshchyna, including the Veverovsky brickyard in Karolina near Shchytov. (fragment)
