Ahmad bey Agaoglu (1869 - 1939) was known as a public and political figure in Azerbaijan and Turkey. After studying in France, he opened the first library in Shusha in 1896. He came to Baku in 1897 and together with Ali bey Huseynzadeh he was the editor of "Hayat" newspaper. This book tells about the life and work of Ahmad Bey Agaoglu, a genius thinker and socio-political figure, one of the most consistent supporters of the modernization movement in the Muslim East and one of the founders of the Turkic ideology.
