The monograph inquires into the theoretical and methodological issues of transformation and reformation of a Russian village and working-out of an appropriate agricultural policy of its development, and undertakes analysis of political processes in villages in the XXth century in interrelation with social, economic, town-planning, demographical and ecological events. Processes of peasant villages' transformation during the Soviet period and nowadays are observed in the context of civilization development on the basis of a social-natural approach for the first time in political sciences.
