The book presents statistical data on agricultural farms in Latvia in the first half of 2002. In order to collect information from peasant farms, household plots and private subsidiary farms, the method of sample surveys was introduced. It covers a total of 8800 farms in 440 pagasts (the smallest administrative units) with at least 0.1 hectare of land at their disposal.
