Yuriy Vynnychuk is a well-known Ukrainian writer, journalist, translator and editor. He began his career in the 1970s as the author of extraordinary poetic works, and later literary mystifications, among which readers especially remembered "Life of the Harem" - Roxolana's fictional diaries. In the early 1990s, the writer was the director of the variety theater "Do not be sad" and the founder of "Cabaret Yurets and Stefets." Yuri Vynnychuk's works have been translated into English, German, French, Croatian, Polish, Bulgarian, Serbian, Belarusian, Japanese, Chinese and even Esperanto, many of which have won prestigious literary awards.
