The history of the development of radio broadcasting, in particular — Ukrainian radio broadcasting, is extremely interesting. It was not only in the shadow of television for a long time, but also the history of Ukrainian radio was written under Moscow influence and Soviet censorship. And, with some exceptions, it has not yet been told in popular science from the Ukrainian point of view. The author traced the path that our radio traveled against the background of an entire era: from optical transmission of information to FM radio broadcasting, from primitive detector receivers to applications in smartphones, from the first "radio newspapers" to our modern realities.
