Tit Flavius Clemens (Clemens Alexandrinus) is a Christian writer of the end of the IInd – beginning of the IIIrd century. He had been searching for truth for a long time in Greek philosophy. Initiated into the pagan mysteries, later he adopted Christianity and became the head of the religious college in Alexandria, where he disclosed pagan cults. The writing is probably based on his lectures at the college.
