The book is probably the first step in opening the layer of obscene narrative folk creations hidden in the manuscripts of the Lithuanian folklore archive. Such stories were intended not only for entertainment, but also performed a certain function of sex education. It is important to look at these stories with a sense of humor and to keep in mind that many of them were written almost a hundred years ago. Obscenity can be found in many genres of folklore: obscene songs are widespread in the folk, there are many riddles and proverbs with erotic hints, anecdotes, household tales, fairy tales are characterized by an abundance of obscene motifs.
