The object of the research is the implementation of the principle of the social state in the Republic of Belarus in modern conditions of development of the state and society. Objectives of the work: determination of priority directions for the development of the Republic of Belarus as a social state, taking into account modern challenges of social development and development of measures for the development of relations in connection with the formation of the Belarusian state as a social state. The main research methods were general scientific methods (synthesis, deduction, induction, etc.) and private legal methods (formal legal, comparative legal, legal modeling method). As a result of the study, theoretical results were obtained, illustrating the essence of the principle of the welfare state in modern conditions, as well as proposals for improving legislation and practice. The results obtained are introduced into the educational process, and can also be used by state bodies and organizations in order to improve the current legislation and law enforcement practice. The significance of the work is determined by the importance of the object of research and the availability of practical recommendations for improving legislation.
