Origen (185-254) was an early Christian scholar, philosopher, theologian, and one of the most distinguished of the early fathers of the Christian Church. The collection comprises Origen’s treatise “About origins” (published for the first time at Kazan Ecclesiastical Academy in 1892) and first four books of an apologetic work “Against Celsum” (translated by L.Pisarev in 1912).
