The history of "Doctor Zhivago", a novel of disillusionment with the Russian Revolution written by the remarkable Russian writer Boris Pasternak is known only thanks to memoirs, researches of philologists and materials of personal archives. Official documents connected with this writing have been inaccessible during many decades. The present collection for the first time presents these documents to general public. The work is supplemented with archeographic preface and introductory article by Evgenii Pasternak.
