The subject of this work is the religious factor in internal and international politics in Europe and Russia. The geostrategy politics was based on the ideological dichotomy between West and East for more than 70 years. The conflict between two systems had military, political and economic aspects, and religion had no role in this confrontation. Nowadays religios claims have gained great significance. Conflicts between different religions and confessions provoked local wars. In particular it is important to study how political, economical and military forces use the religious factor for their aims.
