On his fifteenth birthday, Artur is forced to flee his native Kharkov to his grandmother in the L'viv region because of the war. Soon, the teenager's imagination is completely captured by a family secret: his great-grandfather's brother was a UPA soldier and shot himself in his home hideout during a raid. Everyone the boy asked about the tragedy is sure that someone exposed the UPA member. But who? New friends help Artur in finding the name of the traitor. The teenagers build dozens of versions, find letters, photographs, and question old people to find out what really happened eighty years ago.
