Olga Hildebrandt-Arbenina (1897/98-1980) has been known as a muse and beloved of N.Gumilev and O.Mandelstam, a woman to whom poets of the Silver Age dedicated their works... But first and foremost, she was an extremely interesting artist. What concerns Hildebrandt’s literary heritage, it is collected here for the first time and comprises her memories about “theatrical” ancestors, family, childhood, youth and artists. At last, the author recreates a true literary artistic atmosphere of St.Petersburg-Petrograd in the second half of the 1910s - beginning of the 1920s, and deals with the outstanding representatives: Gumilev, Mandelstam, Blok, Kuzmin, Meyerhold, Yurkun and many others. The exciting contents are supplemented with abundant illustrative material.
