This book is the work of many local authors living and working in the Murmansk region: journalists, writers, veterans of the security agencies, tells the story of the war on the Kola Peninsula in the Restikent direction. This is the only section on the entire line of confrontation from the Black to the Barents Sea, 230 km long, where there was no front line and direct confrontation throughout the war from 1941 to 1944. Nature itself stood in the way of the vaunted fascist army and tanks: tundra, rocks, swamps, hills and the courage of our border guards, scouts and partisans. The book contains many documents from those years; memories of participants and eyewitnesses. Сборник
