Olena Lototska's prose collection consists of short stories and samples in which the author recreated her inner world, based on the hazy fabric typical of the Dubrovytsia region. Elena grew up in the edge of forest wealth, among people who kept family stories in the depths of their souls, because not everyone could tell them so as not to cause trouble. And these plots, simple in their tragedy, survived them, echoing voices from the past, the living vernacular of grandparents, men and women, teenage girls and mischievous children. Olena Lototska's first prose book absorbed her own experience and the experience of a whole genus, not even one, probably, because the branches of family trees grow with new shoots of young strength. The motivation to write for the author is the need to make public what is heard, seen and experienced in such a way that readers are moved to hidden (or undisguised) tears mixed with smiles.
