This book is devoted to the outstanding political and public figure Nina Strokata-Karavans'ka, who was among the founders of the Ukrainian-Helsinki group. She was imprisoned for 4 years, her husband - for 30. In 1979 the Ukrainian women organization together with publishing house 'Smoloskyp' gained her discharge and expulsion. Together with her husband she continued the struggle in the USA. In addition to the poem about her the book contains memoirs, verses and KGB archival documents.
