A.Ukhtomsky (1875-1942), a physiologist with a world fame, had encyclopaedic knowledge in the area of philosophy, theology, history and literature. The collection "Distinguished interlocutor", which includes his diary notes from 1896 till 1940, theological dissertation and unknown articles, for the first time gives reader a possibility to get acquainted with these archival materials. The collection is supplied with brief annotations and the dictionary of names and terms.
