Since the end of the 1980s, during the time of perestroika and publicity, a stream of previously inaccessible information on the history of Belarus, in particular on its Soviet period, poured through the media and books. Along with true, noteworthy information, many tendentious, and often false lies, so-called myths appeared. In this book, I. A. Marzalyuk, Doctor of Historical Sciences, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Professor, Chairman of the Standing Commission on Education, Culture and Science of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus in a popular form examines and refutes these myths that prevent us from adequately perceiving the history of our countries. The book was based on 24 publications in the newspaper "SB. Belarus today ”in 2019 in the form of conversations with the correspondent M. Osipov.
