In the third issue of the miscellany, the authors set a difficult task to present a brief outline of the life and work of two photographers who actually worked far beyond the Yaroslavl province. Ivan Fedorovich Barshchevsky is generally a figure of an all-Russian scale. Therefore, presenting the stages of the life of this photographer, the authors were forced to touch on all of his enormous creative activity, but with a special emphasis on the Rostov and Yaroslavl periods. Rare personal photographs taken in Rostov and Yaroslavl are presented. It also presents biographical information about Princess M. K. Tenisheva, with whom Ivan Fedorovich Barshchevsky was associated for thirty years of life and work.
The activities of the Russian photographer Anatoly Nikolaevich Pavlovich are illustrated by his twelve Rostov subjects created for the publication of open letters.
