The first volume incorporates two early works by G.A.Popov: the candidate thesis "History of Christian Enlightenment of the Yakuts and Other Non-Russians of the Yakut Region" and the monographic research "Outlines of Yakut History". Despite the fact that the both works were written in the early XXth century, they contain historical material of special value.
