The monograph is dedicated to the most outstanding art monuments of the XIV-XVth centuries, created by famous Andrew Rublev and his contemporaries. It describes dozens of his prominent icons, fresco compositions and miniatures, defines the correlation of other works with Rublev’s creative work. Due to the written sources the history of the iconostasis in Annunciation Cathedral in the XV-XVIIth centuries is recreated, the iconography and artistic peculiarities of deesis and holiday icons, which got new dating and attributes, are reviewed as well.
