This collection of articles is devoted to various aspects of the history of Russian workers in the second half of the XIXth - the beginning of the XXth centuries. These articles are based on numerous documents and new approaches to the problems of the formation of the working class, its identity, role and place in the Russian society of the period of capitalistic development. A significant part of this book is devoted to revolutionary events and the formation of the Soviet Union, in which workers played a primary role.
