Ancient city-states existed on the modern Ukrainian lands of the Northern Black Sea region in ancient times, which were centers of ancient Greek culture and ancient philosophy. They gave the ancient world a galaxy of outstanding thinkers — Salmoxius, Abaris, Anacharsis, Spheres of Bosporus, Bion Borysphenites, under whose influence certain philosophical traditions were formed and developed. The author believes that there was not only the cultural and philosophical influence of metropolitan Greece on the Northern Black Sea region, but also the influence of the thinkers of this region on the philosophical culture of the Greeks.
