For the first time in historiography the author proves that the Cossack troops formed in terms of Russian autocracy in the result of its development turned into a closed privileged group. Historically the first duty of the Kuban Cossack troops was active participation in the conquest of the Caucasus and keeping its territories in obedience to the Imperial Russia. Consequence of such opposition of Cossacks to the people in the Soviet times became the task of destroying the remnants of monarchism in the Cossack class, and finally, this problem was solved during the Great Patriotic War.
