We are afraid of old age, we perceive it as the end of our lives, as the end of our dreams, hopes, career, health. And with this fear, each of us is left alone and fights alone. Some people convince themselves that old age is also a good time - it doesn’t matter what kind of body, the main thing is to remain young in the soul. Others, on the contrary, try to preserve their body - persistently visit cosmetologists, go under the knife of a plastic surgeon, while spending considerable money, hoping, at least outwardly, to deceive Time. Still others engage in physical exercise, take dietary supplements and adhere to various diets in order to somehow delay old age. But humanity is still losing in the fight against aging. There is still not even a common understanding of the causes and mechanisms of aging. Despite the abundance of various means of “prolonging youth,” ranging from cosmetic to very exotic, including stem cell transplantation, no one has yet succeeded in actually extending a person’s life. This book provides a brief analysis of existing theories and methods of influencing aging, and the author also provides his vision of the mechanisms of aging.
