The book is a complete collection of over 1000 Old Believers’ writings which are stored at the Ancient Archives of Pushkin House. Most of the writings were found on the North European territory of Russia in the course of archeographical expedition undertaken by collaborators of Pushkin House. The original catalogue is structured by the inception principle – an alphabetic index of initial words. The index will make it easier for specialists to work with the catalogue and describe manuscripts kept in other archives of Russia.
