The issue researches into visions of the other world (stories about journeys of soul to the beyond in sleep or in the moments of "numbing") within the context of Russian hand-written books. The first section offers study of "The Tale of Antony Galichanin’s Vision" (the 1520s), whereas the second one surveys genre peculiarities and eschatological themes of visions ("sepulchral" order, requital of the good and retribution of the evil and salvation) basing on 24 texts of the XVth - XXth century.
