Halyna Petrosanyak is a Ukrainian poet, translator, and literary critic. She conducted a literary studio at the regional organization of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine. Translates from German. Translations include Peter Zilaga's European bestseller "The Last Window Giraffe", published by "Classics" in the "Perfetsky Collection", Alexander Granach's autobiographical novel "Here Comes a Man" (2012), Soma Morgenstern's autobiography "At Other Times. Young Summers in the East Galicia "(2019), a story by Hans Koch (2016) and others. In 2001 she defended her dissertation on "Poetics of Joseph Roth's fiction." She was a scholarship holder of the Austrian government. In 2007, she won the Hubert Burda Prize for Eastern European lyricists in Germany. The poems have been translated into French, German, Polish, English, Russian and Belarusian. Author of the book of short stories "Do not disturb me to save the world" (2019) and a number of essays. Until 2016 she lived in Ivano-Frankivsk. She now lives in Switzerland.
