For the first time hand-written dictionaries of V.Dal, compiled in the first half of the XIXth century are presented to the reader. Among them are “Explanatory Dictionary”, “Dictionary of the Ofensky Language”, “Russian-Ofensky Dictionary”, which contain more than 5000 of peddlers (ofens) dialect and two more dictionaries of professional dialects.
