Modern ethnography has succeeded in various fields. The only topic traditionally avoided by scientists is toilets, rules of their use and a complex of related to this matter norms of behavior (including religious), as well as the ways of other vital waste products utilization. Meanwhile, toilets and litter occupy a significant place in any culture, because visiting a toilet (in different meanings of the word) is as natural as well-timed ingestion. However, scientific and even popular scientific literature pay too little attention to this amusing topic. The present book fills the gap and is intended not only for specialists in the field, but also can be used as a manual of toilet etiquette customary in Oriental countries.
