The paper shows the process of creation and activities of the Ural Regional Military-Industrial Committee, which arose during the First World War, as a result of the desire of entrepreneurs and the population of the rear areas to assist the state in supplying the army with necessary items of equipment and ammunition. Currently, interest in the history of public organizations,
arising at the beginning of the XX century, it is completely justified, since they have accumulated extensive experience in the field of relations between society and government. This experience can be used today, when the problems of the development of civil society and Russian statehood are again becoming a priority, and domestic entrepreneurs play their role in solving these issues. The purpose of the work is to investigate the main stages of the creation and activities of the Ural Regional Military-Industrial Committee, as well as to show specific people who participated in the work of this public organization.
