Much has been written about the activities and fate of the 4th Main Directorate of WiN. The central figure of the Rzeszow Inspectorate of the Home Army and WiN, Colonel Lukasz Cieplinski Plug, has been the subject of several biographical publications. In recent years, books have also been published about his deputy, Major Adam Lazarowicz (Klamra). Biographies of the other members of the 4th Main Directorate of WiN, murdered on March 1, 1951, along with their commander, in Mokotow Prison, are still missing. The aim of the work is to popularize the person of Plug's contemporary (born in 1913), Major Jozef Rzepka (Znicz), not only among the inhabitants of his hometown of Bratkowice, but above all among a wider group of readers interested in contemporary Polish history, the history of the Home Army in the Rzeszow region and the anti-Soviet underground movement operating in Poland after the end of World War II, as well as the history of the Freedom and Independence Association.
