Documents prepared for the collection were found by the compiler from the state archives of Ukraine, Russia, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, both central and local, in particular, materials from regional state archives were used. Much of the documents have not yet been published at the time of writing.
The documents from the Central State Archive of the highest authorities and administration of Ukraine and the branch state archive of the Security Service of Ukraine are of the greatest interest. In the latter case, important documents relating to the last years of the struggle - the late 1940s, and especially - the 1950s, related to the names of prominent figures of the movement: Roman Shukhevich, Stepan Bandera, Dmitry Klyachkivsky, Peter Poltava, Osip Dyakiv-Gornov, etc. . Simultaneously with Galicia, Volyn and Bukovina, the state of traffic in Greater Ukraine, and the situation in Transcarpathia were presented.
The collection also contains program documents of the Ukrainian national liberation movement, the Resistance movements in the Baltics. By origin, most of THESE documents come from the movement, but also from the Soviet authorities, Polish and German punitive institutions.
